The organisation which regulates social housing providers in England has awarded Durham Aged Mineworkers’ Homes Association (DAMHA) its highest possible rating.
The Regulator of Social Housing has given the Association a G1 rating for Governance and a V1 rating for financial Viability.
This follows an annual ‘stability check’ in which the regulator looks at financial information submitted by housing providers (including their most recent business plan and annual accounts) and consider whether their current viability grade is consistent with this.
Paul Mullis, DAMHA Chief Executive said: “In what continues to be challenging times for social housing providers, it’s pleasing to let our residents, staff, Board and other stakeholders know that we have retained the highest possible rating from our regulator.
“It demonstrates that DAMHA continues to be a reliable organisation which is able to adapt to ever-changing circumstances and deliver high-quality services to its residents.
“Our latest regulatory judgement is testament to the commitment and hard work of staff and the DAMHA Board and I would like to thank them for their dedication and unwavering support.”
