Having friends in high places has its advantages, as DAMHA discovered when we got a special mention in the House of Lords.
At the end of last tear Baroness Warwick, who is Chair of the National Housing Federation, referenced the Association in a debate in the House of Lords on almshouses, of which we are the largest in the UK.
There was cross-party support for the work of almshouses and the almshouse movement, with Lords from across the House and from Government acknowledging the vital work organisations like DAMHA undertake and the vital service they provide to their communities.
You can view the debate on Youtube and we are mentioned at 3:53 by Baroness Warwick, whom we had a visit from a little while back.
