Our Executive Committee has overall responsibility for the running of Durham Aged Mineworkers’ Homes Association.
Some of our own residents serve on the committee. We feel this is important as they have first-hand knowledge and experience of living in our homes. Furthermore, resident involvement plays a vital role in the way we deliver our services to people across the former County Durham coalfield.
In addition to the Executive Committee, we also have four sub-committees – Housing Development, Finance, Organisation and Personnel and Audit. Some of the decisions are delegated to these committees.
We also have a Scrutiny Panel. Made up entirely of residents, the panel is responsible for examining and scrutinising different areas of our services.
