Golf Day raises over £500
Teeing off for the Association’s 2008 golf day at Chester-le-Street Golf Club were no less than 56 players this September. And a worthy total of more than £500 was raised in the popular annual event, which donates proceeds to the Residents’ Welfare Fund.
Senior Technical Services Officer and organiser of the event Allan Hedley explained: “Everybody enjoyed it. The weather on the day was fine. All in all, it was a good day”.
The same winners as last year – Durham Fire Protection Ltd, scooped the trophy, while the runners-up awards went to Moor Graphics Ltd.
The competitors in the winning team were G Robertson, S Race R Batty and C Feenan.
Nearest to the pin prizes were won by A Hall and G Penman while the winner of the longest drive was G Harl.
