DAMHA Awarded Possession in Arrears Case

In September we applied to Durham County Court for the possession of one of our bungalows in Plawsworth Road, Sacriston. The man who lived in this bungalow had made and broken 9 separate agreements and had accrued arrears of over £1,700. Judge Goudie who heard the case, gave the resident 28 days to leave their home. In the event he refused to leave at the end of the 28 days and DAMHA were forced to apply for an eviction warrant. The man eventually left the night before the county court bailiff was due to take possession of the bungalow.
