Social Welfare Fund
The Durham Aged Mineworkers’ Social Welfare Fund was originally formed in 1992 with the purpose of facilitating and promoting welfare activities among the residents of the Association.
The fund originally ran on an informal basis, but is now a formal Constitution with a separate bank account, which allows the Fund to be more independent, and allows it to make grant applications to organisations such as the National Lottery.
If you, as a resident, are organising an event or transport to an event for a group of residents, you may be entitled to apply for a donation from the Fund.
For further information, or to enquire about a donation request form, please call us on Freephone 0800 0432642.
