Resident evicted for causing anti-social behaviour
In May, DAMHA was awarded possession of a home where one of the residents of the sheltered scheme had behaved threateningly to a number of his fellow residents.
Thanks to the willingness of the residents, affected by this man’s anti-social behaviour, to come forward and give evidence at the court hearing, the judge presiding over the case recognized the problems that they had all had to endure and gave the perpetrator 28 days to leave his home.
Pauline York, Housing Manager said, "We will not tolerate threatening behaviour in any of our homes. We would like to thank the residents who helped with this case by attending court and giving evidence. Without their actions it would have been very difficult to secure the eviction."
If you are experiencing any anti social or nuisance behaviour from one of your fellow residents then please contact your Area Housing Officer on free phone 0800 0432642 to discuss the matter.
