Pot Plant Competition Winners
This Summer’s Annual Pot Plant competition, which took place during early July, had a record crop of entries.
1st Prize winner - Mr J Rudd, High Jobs Hill, Crook
2nd Prize winner - Mrs I Scott, Lumley
3rd Prize winner - Mr A Pallister, Easington
Gordon Gray, Chief Executive said, "Gardens play an important part in making our homes attractive and provide enjoyment and a flourish of colour to our neighbourhoods. The entrants have obviously dedicated a lot of time and hard work to design and nurture their gardens, which no doubt will be an inspiration to other residents. The outstanding variety and inventiveness of entries this year was very striking and the garden layouts as well as the health and abundance of the planting was really impressive."
