Popular golf day raises £200 plus!
Teeing off for the Association's 2007 golf day at Chester-le-Street Golf Club were no less that 52 players this September. And a worthy total of more than £200 was raised in the popular annual event, which donates proceeds to the Residents' Welfare Fund.
This year the winners were – Sunter Ltd who were last year's runners-up, while the runners-up award this year went to Frank Haslam Milan.
The competitors in the winning team were T Sunter, L Sunter, C Byles, K Cummings. Senior Technical Services Officer and organiser of the event Allan Hedley explained: “Everybody enjoyed it. The weather on the day was fine. All in all, it was a good day”.
Nearest to the pin prizes were won by J Stothert and J Horner while the winner of the longest drive was J Hall.
Prizes were awarded by retired staff member Gordon Penman, as well as Allan Hedley.
