Almshouse Association gift vouchers
100 year old Mabel Haswell receives her Christmas voucher from Gordon Gray, DAMHA Chief Executive.
Each year, The Almshouse Association presents every almshouse resident who is aged 90 and over on 25th December with gift vouchers to the value of £20. DAMHA tops this up by a further £10 to a total of £30.
The Christmas Fund was started 53 years ago by the late Mayor A.E. Allnatt of the Almshouse Association and nationally around 350 almshouse residents receive vouchers.
