Residents' Satisfaction Survey 2007: summary and recommendations
The Housing Corporation requires Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) to undertake a satisfaction survey of their tenants every three years.
Durham Aged Mineworkers’ Homes Association undertook its last survey in 2004 when 287 residents completed questionnaires. The 2007 survey was undertaken during August with questionnaires sent to 500 residents. 345 completed forms were returned, a 70% response, providing a sample of the views of 21% of the Association’s 1,640 residents.
The questionnaire was based on the National Housing Federation (NHF) “STATUS” model which will enable results to be compared with other RSLs.
DAMHA residents have confirmed satisfaction with the homes and services we provide. The high levels of satisfaction are demonstrated in the key findings opposite.
“We are delighted with the consistently high levels of positive feedback in our resident surveys. Our staff are really encouraged by the fact that we have scored so highly on satisfaction levels, in particular, that 97% of residents thought that our staff were helpful. That is something we work really hard at and it is reassuring that we are getting it right.”
