Area Meetings
Monday 30th March saw the first area meeting of the year for residents from Chester-le-Street, Sunderland, and parts of Gateshead and Durham, held at the Chester-le-Street Methodist Chapel. The meeting gave everyone the opportunity to meet with DAMHA staff, including those that they wouldn’t normally see face to face.

Pauline York, Housing Manager, chatted to everyone about DAMHA’s Lettings Policy and how Choice Based Lettings operated elsewhere in the county, whilst Helen Sinden, Service Improvement Officer collected people's views on target setting for our services. We were also able to promote the various ways in which you can become more involved as a resident and we consulted on our action plan for resident involvement.
All the Area Housing Officers were on hand, as was Brian Stobbs, Asset Manager, to deal with any queries.

Pauline York said "The 'drop-in' format, whereby residents could pop in any time between 10am and 1pm, was a resounding success which saw 46 of our residents through the door."
The next session will be held in the Sedgefield area. We will write out to all our residents there with the date and time once we have finalised the venue.
