Ricability

Ricability is an independent research charity who publish practical, actionable and unbiased guides for older and disabled consumers based on thorough professional research.

Ricability’s work covers a range of areas. All reports are based on independent research including as appropriate user trials, technical tests, survey work or desk research.

The current areas covered are:

Household products
Wide range of consumer reports to help you choose products and design your home. Reports Include - domestic appliances, bathing aids and specialist easier living products.

Mobility
Consumer reports for older and disabled car drivers and passengers, as well as a guide to using a wheelchair on public transport and wheeled walking frames.

General
A report with general sources of advice, help and information for older and disabled people.

Surveys
Research reports of survey work carried out by Ricability to evaluate services.

All reports are free, but you will be required to send a large (A4) stamped addressed envelope to cover postage. Postage costs are worked out by weight and range from 37p to 75p
